Throughout my more than 30 years in health care, virtual care has evolved from a niche offering to a vital component of care delivery. From working with health plans and provider organizations to leading companies at the forefront of the virtual care space, I’ve witnessed firsthand how innovation is reshaping the industry. What’s clear is this: the future of care will largely be virtual, and it must be built on a foundation of trust, safety, and privacy.

As Curai’s General Counsel, my role is to make sure that we have everything we need in place to reach our goal of democratizing access to care. My work centers around privacy and compliance–two areas that have become increasingly critical for all health care companies. At Curai, we're particularly passionate and thoughtful about setting the highest standards in these domains. I’ve helped Curai refine its legal, privacy, and compliance frameworks, like developing our ethical governance committee, to address safety, risk, and trust concerns specific to virtual care. These functions are mission-critical to how we earn–and keep–trust in a space that’s still writing its rulebook.
It’s also key for any virtual care company today to stay ahead of the shifting regulatory landscape, especially with the growing focus on AI policy at the federal level. My role on the board of the American Telemedicine Association (ATA) provides a unique opportunity to be at the table for these discussions to help shape the future of telehealth and AI policy. At the ATA, I work alongside other industry leaders to shape the future of telehealth in a way that protects patients and fosters virtual care innovation . I believe Curai Health is uniquely positioned to scale access to care in a way that never loses sight of what matters most: patient safety, trust, and privacy.
